And that’s the takeaway. I’ve heard so many people say, and have been guilty myself, that the acronym has gotten a bit elongated in some circles. It keeps being added to, in some cases now even having a + at the end. But that’s just it, there are so many types of people involved, and so much new vocabulary involved as well. It’s daunting for anyone possibly just getting into the movement or even for some of us who have been struggling with our own identities or just our place within it for years.

I think this is why, for myself, I’ve always shied away from labels, and possibly why the term Queer works so well for me. It encompasses everything I need it to, without painting me into a corner so to speak.

Thank you for sharing this James Finn ,informative and well written as always.

I think, therefore, I write. /Posts may contain affiliate links.
