Chris, thank you for your thoughtful response. I agree, encouraging conversation is key. It is difficult not to just go all out with it and push, especially when it’s something so important, whether it’s about sex, drugs, or anything, but I know patience is key.

My hope, as I hope any good parents is, is that I have given my children the tools they need to become successful and eventually happy people. I can not force them to use those tools in any specific manner. I have given them to them, taught them how to use them, and continue to be here for tune ups so to speak.

What they do as adults, is up to them.
