I do know who that is, I’ve enjoyed her work for years. If I’m not mistaken, and we all know I could be, NC author Kaye Gibbons shouted out to her in her debut novel, Ellen Foster. Great book. Not so nice lady (Kaye, not Eudora) I had the not so great pleasure of meeting her on a number of occasions when she would visit her then husband, Michael, when he was receiving treatment at a mental health facility. He and my father were patients there together and became good friends. Really nice guy.
