I enjoyed this, thanks Jesse. I agree that yes, there’s always someone who has it worse than we do, in whatever our current situation is. However, I try to take it a step further and remember that, that doesn’t mean there’s anything wrong with feeling shitty about our own situation. Just don’t wallow in it. Hopefully that makes sense. It’s just frustrating to me, because in some situations, people attempt to use that line to make people feel bad, about feeling bad, and that’s not okay. Not saying you are, I completely get your point.
I like that you’ve used the example of the Thai sex worker. From everything I’ve read, those ladies never give up. They can’t. It’s literally their life. If they don’t work, they don’t eat, have a place to stay, anything. They are probably some of the hardest workers, salespeople, etc you’ll ever meet. If we can’t take a page from their book and learn how to hustle, I don’t know what we could learn from!
Thanks for sharing. I hope you’re enjoying your time there. I’ve heard there are some beautiful places to visit. I have a 2nd cousin who lives there.

I think, therefore, I write. ccuthbertauthor@gmail.com /Posts may contain affiliate links.
