You know yourself and your wife better than anyone else, and I definitely don’t judge. Especially when it comes to things like this. It really sounds like you’re doing exactly what she said was okay, even if it was in a roundabout way. You’ve been together a long time, something is working!

See, my natural default is worry as well, but unlike your wife, if I don’t know things, I tend to worry more. I’m working on it.
