In school, we called these the IBM keyboards. Pretty sure it’s because all the IBM computers had them, and no other. I have one now for my desktop and I absolutely love it. It was marketed as a gaming keyboard, no customizations or anything. BUt I love it as it came. It makes the loud clicky noises and just feels better.

The only downside is the noise, when i’m up late writing and don’t want to disturb my family. I just switch to the laptop then, but I can tell a difference in how I write.

You’re right, I’m much happier with my loud, obnoxious keyboard!
