I love the way you and your wife are raising your son. My father was an atheist as was my grandfather, but they both encouraged me to learn for myself. When I was younger, I tried believing in something all. Powerful but it never took. Yet, I still enjoy reading about different faiths, because you can’t know what you’re up against without all the information. That’s the biggest thing I took away from both of them, seek knowledge, always.

I don’t lie to my children, if anything, I’m too blunt with them to hear others tell it. But I know them and know what they could or could not handle. I feel I’ve done what I’m supposed to do in order to prepare them for the real world, not the bubble they lived in while in school.
