Rachel, exactly! I guess that’s only OK once you are home. I made that same statement to the nurse. She said it was not OK. I asked why. She said well what if…I stopped her right there. What if nothing. The baby was fine. She was a newborn, there was no way for her to flip herself out of the plastic, gigantic bassinet they provide in the hospital. Her mother could see her from where she was sitting. She needed 5 minutes. She had just given birth, lost half the blood in her body, had to undergo a transfusion. Give her a break!! It was the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever dealt with. Then for them to do the same thing a year later, simply because they did it before?? Assumptions.
