When it comes to dreams, I’ve had my fair share. As I’ve grown and matured, I like to think my dreams have as well. In reality, more often than not, I’ve let go of them because they just didn’t seem workable.

I’ve always had this misconception about when certain things should happen. According to society, I screwed up at an early age.

As women, we’re expected to do things a certain way. Enter a relationship, get married, have babies, take care of our families.

Yeah, I ignored that memo.

Although I had my first child at a young age, there’s nothing about it I regret. Yes, it was difficult, but I made it work.

Mostly, without help.

So, I’ve always had a screwed up relationship with exercise and food. It began with stress/emotional eating which caused a lot of weight gain. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve worked hard to improve my relationship with food and for the most part, I’ve been successful. I don’t just eat to fuel my body, I do it because I truly enjoy food. And I’m lucky that I enjoy healthy food. I don’t feel I’m limiting myself by eating vegetables, I actually…
