The essential ingredient in a BDSM relationship, besides consent, is control. And regardless of what some may think, the submissive party has ALL the control. What makes it unique is that it’s in an environment where most of the pieces and parts are discussed beforehand. So, you can have the illusion of ‘letting go’ or ‘losing control’, within a controlled environment.
