Thanks for sharing. I never really thought about it this way, escorts being in competition with Tinder and the like. Quite honestly, I don’t think there is competition there in the long run.

Sure, there’s a hook-up culture. But there are also gentlemen who would much prefer the anonymity of hiring an escort. There’s an understanding there, that isn’t with just a random person on a dating app. Even if the person on the app says they are just looking for casual sex, that may not be the case.

I know men who are married, or in committed relationships, who are financially well off, who genuinely are just interested in casual sex when they are traveling or even at home a few times a month. They don’t want to worry about their wives finding out or being blackmailed, so they use an escort. Tinder would never cross their mind.
