This is one of the best ways I’ve seen this discussion written. I like that you explain your own religious upbringing, giving a personal touch to the story. I always enjoyed learning about the different mythologies as a child as well. My grandfather was an atheist, my grandmother Roman Catholic. They both encouraged me to read and research religion on my own.

I truly believe you are correct in your statement about leaders believing in something so completely unbelievable and being in such a high level of power. Here in the us there is supposed to be a separation of church and state, but we all know those are just words.
